Meet Mimi: 15+ Years at the Forefront of Education
Mimi's journey in massage therapy education began in the classroom, where she spent over 15 years teaching anatomy and physiology across campuses in Utah and Florida. Throughout her tenure, she recognized a critical gap: instructors were often forced to adapt general medical texts or compile disconnected handouts that lacked the specific clinical focus required for professional bodywork.
Driven by the goal of helping schools improve MBLEx pass rates and student confidence, she developed a structured, visual-first curriculum. By focusing on 'systems thinking,' Mimi transformed complex anatomical concepts into accessible, massage-relevant modules that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on application in the clinic.
Today, Mimi leads MassageSciences as a premier resource for institutions nationwide. She partners with school directors to implement a standardized 100-hour A&P curriculum that empowers faculty and ensures every student graduates with a deep, functional understanding of the human body, ready to excel in their careers.

The Challenge
The journey began in the classroom. Mimi observed that while students were passionate about bodywork, the available Anatomy & Physiology resources were either too clinical for the massage context or too fragmented for consistent teaching. This gap created a clear need for a specialized, integrated curriculum.

Over several years, MassageSciences evolved from lecture notes into a complete educational system. Mimi leveraged her 15+ years of classroom expertise to craft custom illustrations, Applied Labs, and a massive bank of 2,400+ MBLEx-aligned questions to ensure student readiness.
